Sunday of Rest and Renewal - June 14th

During these most challenging times NYAC wants to remind each of you to take good care of yourselves. As you are aware, our Annual Conference session has been postponed until this fall, but this gives us a window for much needed rest and renewal. Since the leadership has been scheduled to be away from our churches at this time, our bishop has encouraged us to take these days as a true sabbath, time for respite, rest and renewal.

To that end,. the New York Annual Conference is offering a recording of the full service for this week as a gift to our Pastors. Enjoy this week’s service and NFUMC’s service will return online next week.

During these most challenging times we want to remind each of you to take good care of yourselves. As you are aware, our Annual Conference session has been postponed until this fall. But the postponement of Annual Conference gives us a window for the renewal and rest I have been talking about. The dates for our Annual Conference (Thursday, June 11 – Sunday, June 14, 2020) should already be marked on your calendar, dates when you, as pastors, were already expected to be away from your pulpits and away from day-to-day activities. With this in mind, we encourage you to take these days as true sabbath. A time for respite, rest, reflection and renewal. To help you make this a truly restful time, on Sunday, June 14, 2020 we will offer a full worship service on this page. We present this Sunday Service Recording as a gift to our pastors and churches during these difficult times to be used in a manner that is most appropriate for your ministries.
